Ban on Russian uranium helps US build nuclear fuel capacity

This article describes the US measures in response to the possibility of Russia ceasing the sale of nuclear fuel. Outgoing top nuclear energy official Kathryn Huff informed Reuters of the preparations that have been been taking place for this scenario since 2022. The US Senate has recently passed legislation banning imports from Russia in response to Putin's actions in Ukraine.
